The atlantic halibut is a flatfish that lives at the bottom of the ocean. It is found at depths ranging from 300 to 2000 meters and can weigh up to 200 kg. The flesh is solid with a lovely white appearance. As a result, it is ideal for frying, poaching, and grilling. In Norway, atlantic halibut is highly regarded and offered only on exceptional occasions. Atlantic halibut can be found in Norwegian fjords and on offshore banks.
